With “I’m Just Dan”, the mischievous Breadothyy delivers a self-introduction that feels more like a well-crafted comedy sketch than a simple track. This quirky guy from Pennsylvania confidently drops lines like, “My name’s Dan. Yes Dan. Put that whiskey in my hand.” The video follows the same playful spirit: he’s lounging on a garden chair, bottle within reach, wearing a blank stare and an impeccable look. It could pass for a badly dubbed vintage ad, except it’s all intentional and absolutely hilarious. The real genius? The clip slowly builds its absurdity, focusing on details and saving the best jokes for last. This little visual gem is truly worth watching until the very end, especially with the appearance of American rapper Crypt in the final scene, an artist Breadothyy has admired for eight years. Slash Music raises its glass to this brilliantly absurd piece.

Breadothyy, the art of musical trolling, done right
Before “I’m Just Dan”, there was “B*tches”, an improbable parody of “Peaches” from the Super Mario Bros. movie, originally released as a joke… but it snowballed into a full project. Since then, Breadothyy has been bending genres, walking the line between comedy and serious music, and releasing delightfully absurd tracks like “Sunday Night” and “Weeboo Weeboo”, outside of his debut EP “B*tches”, which dropped on November 22, 2024. The EP features five tracks, each as quirky as it is clever, showcasing a fine-tuned sense of comedic timing. Beyond music, Breadothyy is also a gamer, video and photo editor, and a creator of parodic content, his offbeat Avengers spoof on Instagram is a must-see. In short, he’s a multi-talented mischief-maker who’s turned self-mockery into an art form. Stay tuned: Breadothyy is just getting started.
