With “Crystal”, Sons of the Divide reconnect with their roots while pushing their craft to new heights. Born in the days of The Mercenaries, the track now takes on a second life as a solo single, revealing a more intimate side of the band. Behind its punk rock energy lies a hidden struggle, the slow poison of addiction that gnaws away unnoticed until it shatters everything. The line “A crystal I don’t want to be your friend again” hits like a vital refusal, raw and unfiltered. Mixed by producer Sean McDonald at Red Medicine Recording, the track blends grit and precision into a sound that lingers long after the last note fades. The music video, directed by TJ Bell and produced by Eyes of Division Records, captures this inner spiral through the image of a partygoer waking up alone, hungover, surrounded by bottles and confetti. Yesterday’s frenzy collapses into today’s emptiness, a striking metaphor for the track itself. Presented by Slash Music, this release is already shaping up to be one of the season’s highlights.

Sons of the Divide: unstoppable momentum
At the heart of this intensity stands a tight-knit quintet: JP Hill (vocals, guitar, songwriting), Matt Zupetic and Sam Wise on guitars, J. Tano on bass, and Ryan Evans on drums. Blending nu-metal and alternative rock, the band has built a loyal following with over 4,000 YouTube subscribers and more than 50,000 Instagram followers. Their drive shows no signs of slowing down: following the album “Sinners Saints Rage and Grace”, they’ve just released the EP “Take Down Machine” (August 22, 2025), two tracks designed to hit hard in both their electric and acoustic versions. And that’s just the beginning: more than twenty new acoustic rock songs are set to drop this fall, paving the way for their second electric album. Between disciplined studio work and raw stage energy, Sons of the Divide are carving out their place as a band to watch closely. All their links are available here: fans.sonsofthedivide.com.
