With “Animal Style”, MoonCats deliver a fourth album that radiates authenticity and the boundless energy of a trio that has never lost its folk caravan spirit. Available since November 7, 2025, this 12-track project, recorded live to tape, reveals a new level of maturity in both playing and songwriting. Driven by the talent of Blake Burbach, the sound engineer who captured every vibration, the album unfolds warm and organic tones, blending banjo, washboard, mandolin, and harmonica. As Danny Savage, washboard player, recalls: “This is the most MoonCats album to date: just the three of us in a room, playing to a tape”. Slash Music invites you to dive into this sonic journey where every note tells a story.
