Some tracks don’t ask for permission to grab you, they slip under your skin and awaken places you’d rather keep quiet. JP Hill returns with “All Alone”, a dark acoustic ballad where his raw, aching voice becomes the guiding thread of a tense, intimate journey. Crafted like an acoustic confession, the song dives into isolation, guilt, and that fragile line separating reflection from gentle madness. Taken from the first EP of the upcoming album Bus Stop Prophet: Gravel Road, this track sets a dense, heavy atmosphere where rage dissolves into a charged silence. The music video, directed by TJ Bell, captures an intimate studio session where vulnerability becomes art, raw performance meeting honest emotion in a space where every chord carries weight. It’s this kind of unfiltered artistry that Slash Music is proud to spotlight today.

Bus Stop Prophet: The Raw Essence of an Authentic Voice
Bus Stop Prophet represents the raw, stripped-down acoustic side of singer-songwriter JP Hill, known as the voice of Sons of the Divide. Here, the polished, professional version of the band is deconstructed down to the bone, revealing the very essence of his artistic soul.
The motto: “Dark acoustic stories from the road, the voice of Sons of the Divide, stripped down to the bone.”
Based in Virginia Beach with roots in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bus Stop Prophet is a joint effort between JP Hill and his cousin TJ Bell, who takes on the roles of music producer, executive producer, and video director. Drummer Ryan Evans from Sons of the Divide completes the lineup for this project.
The Road to “Gravel Road”
This first EP marks the beginning of an ambitious journey: a series of five EPs that will converge in early 2025 toward the complete album Bus Stop Prophet: Gravel Road. Throughout these releases, even more tracks will be unveiled than what will ultimately appear on the album itself, it’s the road to the album, in all its raw splendor.
Notable fact: JP Hill and his team have completely rebuilt their YouTube channel since last Friday, with over 35 new music videos posted, including new and improved mixes and masters of all the older songs. An impressive demonstration of artistic dedication.
“All Alone” and its four music videos are available on multiple platforms, including Roku and Vevo (@jphillbspvevo), and are played daily in rotation on the Newbandsnewmusic channel on Roku (@newbandsnewmusic on Instagram).
The Team Behind Bus Stop Prophet
Behind every note of this EP lies a deep familial and artistic collaboration. JP Hill, both singer-songwriter and guitarist, carries the emotional vision of the Bus Stop Prophet project. Alongside him, his cousin TJ Bell wears three hats: music producer, executive producer, and video director, sculpting the sonic and visual identity of each track. Ryan Evans, drummer from Sons of the Divide, completes this tight-knit lineup by bringing the rhythmic power necessary to the architecture of the songs. This synergy between raw authenticity and production excellence makes Bus Stop Prophet much more than just a side project, it’s an unfiltered artistic exploration.
