The track unfolds over a production by Imani B, where contemporary pop is infused with R&B and synth-pop to shape a story of addiction and self-reclamation. The artist portrays a weariness toward habits that confine her, that feeling of being trapped in a loop with no exit, before boldly claiming her need for solitude in order to find herself again. She states it without hesitation: “I’m out of control”.
