Light 47, a Trio in Full Creative Bloom
The name Light 47 conceals a trio with a singular story, born from years of artistic collaboration between Evžen Hofmann, Petr Pokovba, and vocalist Romana Minik. It all began in 2008, when Petr Pokovba invited Evžen Hofmann to write new music together. Joined at the time by singer Zuzana Kickova, they created the album “In Revelation” (2009), eight tracks straddling the line between chillout and electronic. It wasn’t until spring 2021 that the project resurfaced in a new form: Slovak singer Romana Minik joined the fold, and Light 47 officially came to life. The single “Sunlight” marked the trio’s debut, driven by an optimistic energy inspired by 80s sonics, reimagined through a thoroughly modern lens.
Since then, the group has continued chasing a sound rooted in joy, peace, and a kind of creative serenity, balancing diversity with harmony. With “Intention of Love”, Light 47 proves once again its ability to explore new emotional territory while staying true to its sonic identity. What comes next looks promising.
