Like a punch to the chest and a whisper to the soul, Absinthe Green crashes into the scene with « Dysphoric Recall », a cathartic hard rock anthem that dares to dive headfirst into the wreckage of memory. In a world obsessed with nostalgia, Absinthe coins a new term, dysphoric recall, the intentional act of reliving pain, not for pleasure, but to break free from cycles that wound us. This isn’t just music. It’s therapy wrapped in distortion. « Another night, another minute that I’m wishing I was left for dead », she screams, not from weakness, but from a place of brutal self-awareness. The video mirrors this emotional carnage: inside a gritty studio, the band plays like it’s their last breath, while in a scrapyard, Absinthe smashes her way through metal and memory alike. Raw, relentless, and real, this is the kind of heartbreak you don’t just feel. You survive it. Brought to you by Slash Music.
« Another night, another minute that I’m wishing I was left for dead » – Absinthe Green
From inner fire to full band fury, Absinthe Green is just getting started
What began as a solo project in 2016 has since evolved into a full-blown sonic powerhouse. Fronted by songwriter and producer Eirini ‘Absinthe Green’, the band found its form after her return to Greece in 2019, with Harry Mason on drums, Villy Pirris on bass, and Panos Economakis on guitar. Together, they craft a sound that’s hard to label, call it Alternative Metal, Hard Rock, or simply honest music for the broken and brave. Their upcoming debut album « Of Love and Pain », produced by Absinthe and Hiili Hiilesmaa, and mixed and mastered by Hiili Hiilesmaa, promises to explore the human contradictions of tenderness and rage, love and destruction. As one critic put it: “A melodic storm of beauty and heartbreak, both ferocious and tender.” Keep an eye on Absinthe Green, they’re not just telling their story. They’re setting it on fire.
