His name is Denis and he’s the genius producer behind Disco Funk Rose. A multi-instrumentalist, he decided to use artificial intelligence to help him create cutting-edge, timeless music. In “Boogie in the fifth dimension”, the first clip from this project, DFR mixes disco and electronic music for a catchy and refreshing result. AI at the service of producers.
“I’ve been a musician for over 25 years, playing various styles. For this project, I played the bass guitar, and I’m also a composer, guitarist, and remix artist” explains the French producer, before continuing : “It’s only recently, with the emergence of AI tools, that I’ve been able to bring my work to production level”. But contrary to popular belief, artificial intelligence cannot produce a piece of music from scratch. This tool, while fantastic, is for the time being no more than a means of enabling songwriters to be more autonomous. For example, for vocal parts, it is now possible to imagine any voice or copy any singer. However, there are still the melodies and lyrics to be written and the flow to be imagined… “AI is a valuable tool, but it doesn’t complete the entire job instantly, as some might believe” confirms the creator of Disco Funk Rose.
