Focus on an innovative live band.
Today, we’re taking you to the Czech Republic to discover a cool band called EDITH. Their specialty? Live! It’s what they do best, as evidenced by their brand new video entitled “Vulgar Beauty”. We then enter their home studio, the “Boat”, located up on a hill in the small Czech village of Horní Vilímeč and get a taste of the band’s electric energy live! It’s rootsy, intense and exciting, and it has to be said that there’s a real cohesion between the musicians. But the real original touch of this band is that there are two bassists! While Jan ZREZ Balej sets the rhythm, Michal MIG Němeček and Jiří Kraus play the same instrument together. The result is a unique project that we invite you to discover now on Slash Music.

Founded in 2004 in Benešov by Michal MIG Němeček, who writes lyrics, sings and plays solo bass, EDITH show a love for music of different genres, while at the same time they have their own distinctive sound and ideas. If you ever want more, don’t panic, EDITH is a hyper-productive band. On their YouTube channel, you’ll find plenty more videos of them in their ‘Boat’. There’s even a playlist entitled “EDITH na LOĎI Recording studio BOAT”, featuring all the live sessions they’ve done in the studio of their friends Hana and Jan. In short, there’s plenty to do.
