An emotionally rich clip that speaks volumes about the singer-songwriter’s talent.
A few days ago, Hazy Oak unveiled her brand new music video “Template Apology”. Over a few chords of electric guitar, the Montreal singer plays the anger card and was inspired by a well-known movement to write this track : “I wrote “Template Apology” specifically about the MeToo movement and how perpetrators, when called out, usually get a slap on the wrist at best and expect others to feel sorry for them because their reputation was momentarily tainted while survivors need to learn how to live with the consequences of SA for the rest of their lives” the singer tells us before adding : “I would say it’s an anger song more than it is a love one and, while I do talk about some personal feelings and experiences, it’s also a call for some social changes that are much bigger than me”. She uses her music to deliver an important message and commit herself to a cause close to her heart. Directed by Rachel Goulet, the video illustrates this message brilliantly, and gives us a taste of the artist’s live energy. Discover this new release now on Slash Music.
