Shorts videos are the key.
If you want to create visibility for your music, short videos will be your best ally in 2024. And we’re not just talking about TikTok, no. Each short video can be published simultaneously on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok. It’s enough to make all the hard work of making a video worthwhile. On the other hand, don’t use automatic sharing applications to publish them – we’ll explain why here.
Now that you’ve got this information, how do you go about it? Many of you will be in need of inspiration, and there are certain trends you need to follow if you want your videos to make an impression on the networks. Don’t panic, Slash Music has put together a short list of ideas with links to videos to show you how…
- Do a making of : https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSjtGAD/
- The reaction of my mates (or my girlfriend) when the beat comes in: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSjmS2m/
- Ugly transitions are always a hit! : https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSjVv87/
- Sports mixtapes: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSj9ut3/
- Memes are fun, everyone loves them: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeSjVodE/
For each video, be sure to post them on Insta + TikTok + Youtube + Facebook. If each post gets even 1000 views, that’s 4000 views each time (i.e. 4000 chances of acquiring new listeners). In terms of organization, we’d advise you to prepare 7 videos on Mondays and post one a day at the time you want (it doesn’t matter anymore since the latest updates).
Promoting your music on the music media
Now there’s a good idea! Why not use specialized media to promote your music. This can save you a lot of time (time which you can then spend making more music!). On the other hand, beware: some media outlets can promise the moon in return for attractive rates, so we advise you to be careful not to get caught out (Does the media outlet have a site? Do they have an audience? Is the content of high quality?)
In fact, we specialize in this field at Slash Music. We feature a wide range of artists every day, and we do it with a lot of passion and energy. Each artist is featured in an article on our website and then presented in a short video which is then shared on all our networks. If you’re ever interested in our services, all the information on our promo packs can be found here : Promote your Music on Slash Music and increase your visibility!
Exchange visibility with other artists
It’s so simple… And yet, many artists neglect it. Once a day, we invite you to find an artist with about the same reputation as you, and then propose a simple exchange. For example: “I’ll do a story in which I present your latest release to my community, and in exchange, you do the same”. It’s a great opportunity to meet new artists, build your address book and get some free promotion! If you’re looking for artists, you can click on the “Music” tab on our site, where you’ll find hundreds and hundreds of artists to contact…
