The artist is back with a stunning clip!
Remember Jakin, the British Columbia-born artist who made our hearts beat faster with his previous music video “Dead in Love”? Back then, we discovered a highly gifted artist when it came to talking about love. Today, the young singer is back with “Something Bout You”, a track just as good, if not better, in which he draws inspiration from his own experience of love…: “The inspiration for this song came from dating someone who was rude and had plenty of red flags, yet for some reason, I still felt drawn to stay and see where it could lead” tells Jakin during our interview. Produced by John Jamieson (arranging, playing keys, producing, mixing, and mastering the track), while the initial demo was created with guidance from his mentor, Claude Kennedy, the track is irresistible, just like the girl Jakin seems to have fallen in love with. Every instrument lifts the elegant lyrics, and the live video is the icing on the cake. What are you waiting for?!

See you every 14th of the month!
A promise made, a promise kept! Jakin promised us he’d be back with a new release every 14th of the month, and now he is. With “Something Bout You”, the songwriter not only delivers on his promise, but also shows a whole new side to his character. With his crooner’s suit and attitude, Jakin seems to grow in confidence with each release, and rightly so. His vocal technique enables him to deliver touching tracks and transport listeners into exciting stories. So we can’t wait until October 14 for the next track which will be entitled “Now You Know Me”!
