P.I.D, pioneers of Holy Hip Hop, eye the future
Formed under the banner of P.I.D—later known as Preachas—this legendary outfit hails from the USA and boasts an illustrious history dating back to their 1988 debut album “Here We Are”. Over time, core members Fred Lynch, Ace One The MC, and King Solomon Jay earned widespread acclaim, releasing groundbreaking projects such as “The Chosen Ones,” “Born With The Gift: John 3:16 Factor,” and “Violent Playgrounds,” all while staying true to their ordained-minister roots.

After years of influence and lineup changes, these elder statesmen of hip hop have returned stronger than ever. In 2023, they signed with Holy Culture Records, co-produced the documentary “Mic Drop: The History of the Culture of Christian Hip Hop Culture”, and now announce their next chapter: a reunion album titled “The Crucible”, set to drop in 2025. Fans can expect new music and potent messages of faith, as P.I.D continues to illuminate the path for future generations. Stay tuned…
