The sky is bright, the guitars wail, and yet everything burns. With “Too Late”, Plethera delivers a confessional firestorm, where metal riffs collide with soul-crushing despair. Hailing from Chicago, the five-piece hard rock/metal band dives deep into themes of guilt, abandonment, and spiritual collapse. “Eternal flames burn my dreams”, confesses frontman Brandon Rice, his voice cracked open like a wound. Shot in broad daylight by @KnoXLevelEntertainment, the music video pits the harsh sun against the band’s inner storm, each member holding their instrument like a weapon against the void. No gimmicks, no mercy, just raw pain set to a thunderous soundtrack. Consider this a gut punch you won’t forget, Slash Music has the exclusive.

Plethera: riffing through the wreckage
Formed in early 2019, Plethera set out with one mission, to connect with listeners through cutting words and infectious riffs. Built around the powerful synergy of Brandon Rice (vocals), Brandon Johnson (guitar), Michael Lenci (guitar), Jacob Webber (bass), and Alex Cervantes (drums), the band first made waves with their debut EP “Trapped Inside”, followed by the single “Far From Roses” later that year. In late 2022 and early 2023, they remastered those early tracks and dropped a new original: “Eight Legged Freaks”, showcasing their evolution through intense guitar work and raw, poetic lyricism.
The band recently returned with a new self-titled EP, “Plethera”, released on June 7, 2025. The eight-track project dives even deeper into their dark, emotional universe, with standouts like “Grim Reaper”, “Through The Gates Of Hell”, and of course, the devastating “Too Late”.
And if you want to witness the storm in real time, riffs, rage and raw emotion included, make sure you’re front row at their upcoming daytime show on July 19th at Bookclub. Expect a sonic onslaught that hits just as hard under the sun as it would in the dark. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer hungry for something real, this show is set to carve a mark. Plethera isn’t just making noise, they’re building something loud, lasting, and dangerously alive. The fuse is lit, and they’re only getting started.
