Focus on a band who love to mix rock & Hip Hop.
In their new video, “Haze”, Prisonself have taken inspiration from a past love affair to write a powerful track. They then plunge us into the twists and turns of a toxic relationship, licking their wounds with music. Resolutely rock, this track is like an outlet in which many of our readers should find an echo. “Well, you came and fuck with my life…”, Prisonself are intent on pointing the finger of blame and delivering an unmistakable judgment, thanks to a super clip directed by Jhxnur. Check out this new release with Slash Music.
“Well, you came and fuck with my life…” – Prisonself
A big start.
This is one of their first official videos, and already we can see the full potential of this band who like to mix their Hip Hop influences with aggressive rock. They’re bringing rock back into fashion and experimenting with a new genre (The Hip Rock?).
In a video entitled “ORIGINS”, which we found on their YouTube channel, the band share with us the beginnings of the band. “10 years ago, no idea about anything. Just getting together to play smash, eat trashy food and play covers of deftones and sepultura” they write, before concluding with “That’s how it started”. The band will be back with more music in the near future, giving us the chance to find out even more about them…: “We’ve put a lot of work into each song and can’t wait for you to hear them all!” reads the caption on their Instagram. Stay tuned now more than ever, as the Prisonself story is just beginning…
