There’s a kind of magic that happens when pure emotion meets perfect technique, and Steini’s new piece « MEDUSA » captures that moment with disarming grace. Composed in tribute to his cheerful eight-year-old sheltie guinea pig (yes, really), this neoclassical/impressionistic fingerstyle gem is a radiant little miracle. No vocals here, just the voice of a guitar, tender and crystal-clear, dancing like sunlight on a windowsill. Each note seems to curl like a paw or blink like bright eyes, delicate, playful, utterly captivating. In the official video, we find Steini seated by a softly lit window, guitar in hand, calm as a monk, weaving sonic gold with a mix of precision and soul. This miniature masterpiece is a quiet triumph, and it’s Slash Music who’s lucky enough to spotlight it today.
Vintage strings and future plans
Born in Austria in 1991, Stefan-Frank Steinhauser took up the guitar at just four years old. From the halls of Music School of Weissenbach to the refined training grounds of the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory and University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, his path has been all music, all heart. A decorated talent, he has collected first prizes in classical, jazz/pop, and folk music competitions, played stages from the USA to Lebanon, and been featured on European Radio Broadcasting and TV. With three albums under his belt, « MOSAIK », « TON », and the more recent « Wödscheibn », he continues to blur the lines between tradition and personal storytelling. His YouTube channel offers a deep dive into his sound universe, rich, nuanced, and full of surprises.
“Tunnelblick”: Where Mystery Meets Melody
And if « MEDUSA » feels like an intimate snapshot, Steini’s upcoming album “Tunnelblick” opens the lens much wider. This new project invites listeners into a deeper, more enigmatic soundscape, one steeped in mysticism, cryptids, and forgotten rituals. Rather than following a strict concept, Tunnelblick weaves its own path through intuition and fascination. Some tracks echo the pull of the unknown, others tap into ancient energies and shadowy symbols. It’s an album that resists easy interpretation, offering instead a journey where each note hints at a hidden world. With “Tunnelblick”, Steini once again proves that his guitar isn’t just an instrument, it’s a storyteller.
