A testimony of love set to music…
“I wrote this song for my friend’s partner when he was in the last stages of terminal cancer”, is how Kamala Alister explains how the idea for this magnificent song came to her. While visiting her friend daily at the hospital to give him her support, she was inspired to write “To the Light”, a song about the moment when a life comes to an end and goes out into the light… On her social networks, the artist gives us more info on the conception of this project: “I was pleased many years later to produce the song in the studio with Kim Kirkman who added layered violins, harmony vocals and piano. The beautiful video is thanks to filmmaker Simon Kurieta. The cover artwork of the album is my original painting”. Check out this new release on Slash Music.
