The artist has teased that the new Blink-182 album is “probably” their “best” one yet.
Tom DeLonge has tantalized fans by suggesting that the upcoming Blink-182 album could be their finest work yet. The pop punk veterans group, including co-frontman Mark Hoppus, aged 51, and drummer Travis Barker, aged 47, reunited with original co-frontman Tom during a Coachella performance in April. Subsequently, they embarked on a world tour and dropped their new single “EDGING” in October, marking their first collaboration with the original member since their 2011 LP ‘Neighborhoods’.
Tom, who is 47, expressed excitement about the forthcoming album, stating that it will take fans on a nostalgic journey. He mentioned in an interview promoting his limited-edition Fender Stratocaster guitar, “I genuinely believe that we’re still creating our best songs. This upcoming album is probably the pinnacle of our discography.”
The reunion tour has allowed the band to craft an exceptional production that represents Blink-182’s essence cohesively. Tom described it as a perfect blend of nostalgia, history, fun, reverence, childhood charm, rebellion, and modern technology. He emphasized that it’s a fantastic rebirth of everything the band has stood for and fulfilled the desires of their fans who have longed for this kind of performance.
Before reuniting with Tom, Blink-182 released ‘California’ in 2016 and ‘Nine’ in 2019, featuring his stand-in, Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba.
The band officially announced their reunion and plans for a world tour in 2022. Notably, Mark, who bravely battled stage 4 cancer, successfully overcoming the disease in September 2021, expressed a sense of relief upon sharing this news with the world. He opened up about the burden of keeping the secret for an extended period, expressing his gratitude for being able to finally reveal the positive outcome.
In response to the body-shaming remark, she fired back at the individual, stating that she wouldn’t entertain any form of relationship or interaction with someone like him, even if he offered her a substantial amount of money. Though the original comment has been deleted, Madison’s fans have shown unwavering support for her. They have left encouraging messages, reminding her to prioritize her well-being and that they love her just the way she is.
In a previous interview with Today, Madison had opened up about the challenges of dealing with public scrutiny, especially when she was younger. She recalled how hurtful it was to constantly hear negative comments about her body, even though she had felt content with herself. Despite the criticism, Madison remains strong and resilient, refusing to let body shamers define her worth.
“I grew up pretty happy,” she told the outlet at the time. “I thought I had a nice body. But hearing endless comments about how I don’t, it was really, really hurtful to me when I was so young.”
