What’s behind Vald’s sudden aging?
Indeed, for over a year, Vald’s presence in the spotlight has been minimal. His only appearance in 2023 was on Souffrance’s track “Voraces.” Before that, you have to go back to December 2022 for a new release in his discography with the reissue of “V,” titled VV5. This project was officially announced during the rapper’s concert at Bercy in November and included 13 new tracks. Apart from that, Vald has largely been absent, until June 11th when he made a guest appearance on Maxime Biaggi and Grimkujow’s ZEN show, promoting… nothing, as he hadn’t released anything new. It was merely a presence to show he’s still around. However, what fans noticed from this appearance, and what stands out, is that Vald has visibly aged. While some fans attribute this aging to their favorite rapper going through a rough patch, others speculate it might be due to drug use. But rest assured, according to his own words, everything is going smoothly for Vald, even though he doesn’t seem eager to release a new project.
Will Vald return with a new album in 2024?
During the show, the rapper indeed appeared lacking in motivation and energy; nonetheless, he mentioned he’s working on his next album. “I’m well advanced, I haven’t done nothing!” he quipped humorously, albeit hinting at a lack of inspiration. Regarding the release date of this project, Vald didn’t want to commit to a timeframe, but while Biaggi and Grimkujow joked about a January 2025 release, the rapper hinted, “hopefully before,” promising that it will be the album of “maturity.” Therefore, it’s uncertain whether this album will come out in 2024 or later, but stay tuned, as it might drop unexpectedly.
