Taste the trippy rock of this band from Scotland.
Hopes Avenue is one of June’s big discoveries, and it’s on Slash Music! The band from Ayr, Scotland, have just unveiled their new “Walk Away” video. As soon as the track opens, guitars rumble, heads bob up and down, Hopes Avenue imposes its powerful electric style. Then the singer’s suave vocals come to rest on airy synth chords, and the band shifts into something more emotional and gut-wrenching. “I thought it would be different now, I can’t see how…” says the band’s singer in the middle of a verse. We’re plunged into a tale of love tinged with a certain melancholy, and we’re invaded by the feeling of loneliness that Hopes Avenue evokes in this track. Kudos to Hunter Visuals for producing the clip, which offers a breathtaking view and makes us experience this music even more intensely. Now it’s your turn to play…
