Alice In Borderland is the series of the moment. Netflix’s production is a hit with its second season, and charismatic characters like Hikari Kuina ( Aya Asahina ) clearly have something to do with it. But another character in the series stands out. It is Nijiro Murakami who plays the role of Shuntaro Chishiya .

Nijiro is a Japanese actor born March 17, 1997 in Tokyo. He is the only child of actor Jun Murakami and singer Ua. His parents divorced when he was nine, and he grew up with his mother, stepfather, and three younger half-siblings. While still attending prep school, he moved to Okinawa with his family. Murakami also studied for a few years in Montreal, Canada . Chishiya has an important role in the series and excels in diamond and heart games due to her intelligence and exceptional cunning.

A great acting career

Nijiro Murakami made his acting debut in 2014 in the movie “Still the Water” where he played the role of Kaito . For this role, he received the Best New Actor award at the 29th Takasaki Film Festival . Since then, he has continued with 26 films and 16 series , the most notable being “Alice in Borderland” . For the record, he worked alongside Bryan Cranston and Greta Gerwig in the film “Isle of Dogs” in 2018.

He has already walked the steps of the Cannes Film Festival
